An instructor's role is to present
new ideas and concepts to help
teach material and to hone a
team's skills. A students role is to
fine-tune established skills and to
develop new ones. In evaluating
an instructor's presentation, first
consider whether the suggested
training approach is a good fit for
your team and then decide how
you might use it in your training
regimen. This is where you, the
student, as trainer and handler,
have to make a decision about
which technique best serves the
team. Every team is different, and
one size certainly does not fit all!

Agility Workshop with a specific emphasis on course work.
Designed to prepare teams for competition.
Presenting two levels of instruction:
Intermediate/Advanced - For those teams proficient at working
with all agility obstacles at competition height and a 12 set of
weaves poles. Dogs should currently be competing at the Open
and Excellent levels or the equivalent.
Novice - For those teams familiar with most all the agility
obstacles and able to work at reduced obstacle heights, with
some obstacles at full height, and simple 6 to 12 sets of weave
poles. Dogs should be close to entering Novice, presently
competing at Novice levels or preparing for Open level
competition.
Each 4 hour session is $60. ($50 per additional dog).
Limited to 8 working spots per 4 hour session.
Advanced registration. Auditing is free.
Junior Handlers are welcome. Their entry fees are sponsored by
Hot Dog Agility. They only need to fill out the registration form,
exhibit good showmanship and assist with equipment changes.
Junior Handlers must be accompanied by a parent or other adult
at all times. Limit - 2 Junior Handlers per level.
